Roof Restoration Process
For a tiled roof (like we did for Bev and Jose), the restoration process involves a number of steps:
- Site Prep – To comply with council regulations, water must be diverted away from council storm water drains before commencing roof restoration work.
- Changing broken roof tiles – replace any broken, chipped or cracked tiles.
- High pressure clean of roof surface – to remove excess dirt and grime, we use a high pressure cleaning process of approximately 3500psi.
- Rebedding of any required ridgecapping – if any ridgecaps are misaligned or need resetting.
- Repointing of all ridgecapping – All ridgecaps are repointed with Globalcote’s Flexible Pointing at a uniform thickness of 3-5mm to secure ridgecaps to the roof.
- Application of Globalcote “Prepcote” – Sterilising Solution – this sterilizes the roof surface for any mould and fungal growth.
- Application of Globalcote “Primecote” – Sealing the roof.
- Application of 2 coats of Globalcote Roof Membrane
